Clos des Lambrays
Clos des Lambrays is a Grand Cru of Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits, a single walled vineyard of around 8.8 hectares that is farmed almost in its entirety by Domaine des Lambrays, making it effectively a monopole. The estate has been owned by the luxury house LVMH since 2014.
Promoted to Grand Cru status in 1981, the Clos rises in a gentle amphitheatre of limestone and clay, planted to Pinot Noir. Its wines are prized for their perfume and finesse — red-fruited, floral, and silken in texture rather than overtly powerful.
Elegant in youth yet capable of long cellaring, Clos des Lambrays offers one of the most distinctive and graceful expressions of Grand Cru Morey-Saint-Denis.
