Tasting Notes
"The 2014 Faugeres still has bundles of red plum and juniper berry on the nose, if anything even more generous than when I tasted it a few months ago. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, superb structure and well judged acidity. It merges with more black fruit towards the finish and has palpable energy on the finish—still excellent."- Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (3/31/2017, Interim Issue), Ratings: 92, Drink: 2019-2032
"The Château Faugères 2014 has an attractive, perfumed and quite floral bouquet with black cherries, juniper and touches of violet. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity and a sense of harmony coming through on the finish. This has charm and class, a well-heeled Saint Emilion that will give at least a decade of pleasure. If you desire something more "flash" then opt for the Peby-Faugères, but this just seems more natural and actually, more complex." - Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (4/29/2015, Issue 218), Ratings: 91-93, Drink: 2018-2030
