Aconcagua Valley

The Aconcagua Valley, north of Santiago and watched over by the Americas' highest peak, is one of Chile's warmest and most prestigious red-wine regions. Its hillside vineyards and long, sunny growing season give wines of richness, ripeness, and concentration.

The valley is closely associated with some of Chile's most ambitious wines, led by the pioneering estate of Errázuriz and its acclaimed icon wines Seña and Viñedo Chadwick — bottles that famously bested First-Growth Bordeaux in blind tastings and helped put Chilean fine wine on the map.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are the stars here, producing powerful, structured reds that stand among South America's most celebrated.
