Côte de Nuits
The Côte de Nuits is the northern half of the Côte d'Or and the spiritual home of red Burgundy. This slender band of limestone slope, running from just below Dijon down to Corgoloin, holds the overwhelming majority of Burgundy's red Grands Crus.
Its villages read like a fine-wine pilgrimage: Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Within them lie the most coveted vineyards on the planet — Chambertin, Musigny, Clos de Vougeot, Richebourg, and the almost mythical Romanée-Conti.
Planted almost exclusively to Pinot Noir, the Côte de Nuits gives wines of remarkable aromatic complexity and structure — perfumed and silken in youth, profound and long-lived with age. For collectors of red Burgundy, this is the centre of the universe.
